Common questions

Why does Locatale need Always location access?

Visit detection runs in the background, so iOS needs Always permission to deliver location updates when the app is closed. Without it, visits stop being recorded the moment you put your phone away.

Does my data leave the device?

No. Visits, places, and tags live on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, the data syncs through your private iCloud account, which Locatale cannot read. See the privacy page for details.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Locatale.
